Service Engineer – Ireland

Join our client, one of the world’s leading optical companies who specializing in Semiconductor Lithography Systems.

The Service Engineer (SE) holds the primary responsibility for supporting semiconductor lithography systems. Adhering to site-specific safety and quality protocols, the SE operates independently to meet service requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key duties involve resolving machine malfunctions, adhering to predefined Action Plans (AP)/Gantt charts, and conducting comprehensive analyses of system performance, installations, and standard setups. The SE demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, utilizing software tools and analytical methods to achieve objectives.

Flexibility is essential in this role, as it demands adaptability to changing requirements, including changing work patterns, and including mobility to support company-wide projects as required.

• Troubleshoot complex system problems using strong problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and use this knowledge to practically support equipment performance.
• Provide maintenance assistance to customers to guarantee that NSR performance aligns with required specifications.
• Execute complex system repairs in a high-quality manner and timely fashion.
• Provide support, which results in NSR performance improvement that exceeds specifications or complies with a non-specified condition.
• Utilize e-diagnostics or software tools for analysis and reporting.
• Develop and proliferate best-known methods (BKMs).
• Work according to Gannt/POA/escalation plans and report all actions performed accurately and fully.
• Where required Install NSR systems in customer facilities, executing standard install tests, meeting overall installation schedule and ensuring that system performance meets specification.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and/or Mechanical Engineering, knowledge/experience in Optics and Pneumatics an advantage.
• Good understanding of Photolithography and Semiconductor processing an advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Strong software skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Working hours
• Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns, including working normal office hours, dayshift, nightshift and weekend working.
• Varying work patterns will be required during the training and transition period.

Travel requirements
• Occasional long periods abroad for training and customer assistance as required.
