Lead Drainage Engineer
Our client is a leading provider of drainage and utility solutions to the construction and engineering sector. As our Client’s Company continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Lead Drainage Engineer to lead on-site CCTV surveys and play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development of their drainage department.
Role Overview:
As the Lead Drainage Engineer, you will take charge of on-site CCTV drainage inspections while contributing to the strategic development of the department by advising on the latest equipment, enhance operational procedures, and implement software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & On-Site Operations:
o Lead and coordinate the CCTV Survey team on-site, ensuring high safety standards and efficient data collection.
o Perform detailed drainage inspections using advanced CCTV equipment, including crawler systems, pan-and-tilt cameras, and push rods.
o Conduct condition assessments and generate detailed reports.
• Technical Expertise & Equipment Optimisation:
o Operate and maintain CCTV drainage systems, including crawler cameras and similar.
o Advise on new equipment acquisitions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Operational Development & Strategy:
o Drive continuous improvement by optimising operational procedures and implementing innovative workflows.
o Recommend and integrate cutting-edge software solutions to streamline data processing and reporting.
• Training & Mentorship:
o Mentor and train junior team members on the latest inspection techniques, safety protocols, and software tools.
o Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3+ years in drainage engineering with a focus on CCTV inspection.
• Proven leadership experience in managing on-site CCTV survey teams and complex drainage projects.
• Expert knowledge of CCTV drainage systems, including Robotic crawler cameras with pan-and-tilt functionality and push rod cameras for smaller diameter pipes.
• Proven ability to optimise operational workflows and implement innovative procedures.
• Valid driver’s license for site visits.
