Project Engineer

Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland. They are looking for a project Engineer to work closely with their Sustaining and Site Services Team on medium and small-scale projects in the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will support project delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role reports to the Director of Projects for Sustaining Capital and Site Services.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong technical background in building services and pharmaceutical installations, who enjoys collaborating across teams to execute projects efficiently and safely.
Location: Ideally based in Dublin, but open to Cork or other locations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of pharmaceutical projects from early concept to detail design and implementation
• Assist in coordination of multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, CSA, E&I)
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules
• Monitor technical aspects of project performance
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design partners
• Support change management and reporting processes
• Contribute to the adherence of project governance and quality management systems

Requirements:

• Engineering / Architectural or Commercial qualification
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering with building services in the pharmaceutical industry
• Broad technical knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment and installations
• Familiarity with project lifecycles from concept to implementation
• Awareness of project governance and reporting processes
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards, and commitment to a strong health and safety culture
• Ability to follow and support project schedules
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to engage with clients, design partners, and project teams
• Understanding of quality management systems and compliance requirements
• Experience in delivering construction projects is a plus
