Mechanical/HVAC Engineer x 2
Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland. They are currently seeking experienced Mechanical/HVAC Engineers to join their team. They have two positions available.
This role involves working as part of a multi-discipline highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, assembly & test facilities, and other state of the art advanced facilities.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a passion for applying their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and rewarding projects. They understand the importance of meeting commitments while remaining flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing client environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, allocate, and assign essential engineering and design tasks to develop construction documents in collaboration with a team of engineers and designers.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
• Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs.
• Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
• Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.
• Perform Mech/HVAC plant design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
• Execute quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC deliverables.
• Develops designer effort-hour estimates for Mech/HVAC discipline.
• Are responsible for up front site selection and due diligence activities.
• Apply judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.
• Execute field activities such as observation of construction activities.
• Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.
Requirements:
• Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in building services/mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering/design experience in the Mech/HVAC systems
• Preferable experience in semiconductor or large-scale industrial projects, with skills including wet and dry processes, calculations, specifications, detailing, and equipment sizing.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).
• Relevant experience in engineering/design in industrial/advanced technology sector.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken
• Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
• Experience using Navisworks in a BIM environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
