Design Manager
Our client is a global EPCM company with operations and projects across Ireland. They are currently looking for a passionate Design Manager and Project Management professional who is driven by collaboration and exceeding expectations, and who can apply their project design management knowledge and experience to the technical delivery of Semiconductor projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, Scheduling, Estimating and Budgeting
Planning, scheduling, estimating, and budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitoring project progress and performance.
Initiating and supervising corrective actions, as required.
Technical Supervision
Provide process-specific technical leadership to the team.
Lead scope development, ensuring client-specific requirements are included and understood, with particular emphasis on gas and chemical delivery and storage requirements.
Ensure coordination across all relevant licensing, permitting, and other legislative requirements, and ensure these are understood and implemented into the engineering design and construction.
Project Planning
Complete and ensure compliance with the Project Execution Plan (PEP), Quality Plan, and Project Initiation Checklist or Roadmap.
Manage the main scope of the project.
Manage change control for scope, schedule, and budget.
Project Organisation
Ensure the right people are assigned to the right roles.
Establish effective communication and provide feedback on performance.
Provide direction to the design team and ensure coordination with all other disciplines.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Effective communication is key to the successful delivery of the project.
Ensure client stakeholders are kept up to date on all technical, financial, and scheduling matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent qualification and experience.
10+ years of experience in engineering design, design management, or project engineering, ideally within a complex project environment.
Proven experience in design management and technical leadership on large-scale projects.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven leadership experience in a design engineering environment.
