Client Project Manager

Opportunity     

Our client provides the only open-access biologics technology platform in the world offering an end-to-end biologics medicine production service. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a Factory of the Future, and act as conduit between customer and technical teams ensuring a seamless path to market for a wide range of products. The role requires excellent people and project management skills, planning and communication skills and acts as a single point of contact to manage client projects. Reporting to Project Management Lead, this Project Manager role will be client facing and responsible for managing projects through initiation, planning, execution and close out, ensuring client contracts are adhered to and revenue is recognized. To be successful in this role, the selected candidate will be very customer focused and demonstrate excellent communication skills, including stakeholder and risk management, and demonstrate ability to effectively interface with all levels across the organization. Be a strong team player with demonstrated ability to work on your own initiative.

Duties

§  Lead project meetings per pre-determined communication plan, internally and externally with stakeholders.  Develop a project management process for tracking, reporting and recording progress and key milestones.

§  Lead multiple cross functional teams on site regarding introduction of NPI and Tech Transfer.

§  Customer facing and support client meetings, scoping project plans and customer needs.

§  Collaborate closely with Manufacturing plants to support New Product Introduction and client neecds.  Using internal systems and working closely with scheduling and other support functions such as QC and MSAT

§  Managing risks, completing impact  assessments, developing mitigation strategies and escalation as necessary

§  Collaboration with departments across business – Manufacturing, QA, Supply Chain, Procurement, QC, Engineering and EHS to ensure project needs are met.

§  Develop high level timelines and gantt charts, managing any changes and communication as required

§  Coordinate project communications and documentation as necessary ensuring relevant stakeholders needs are met. In addition, ensure strong documentation and traceability is managed accordingly .

§  Develop project management procedures and processes ensuring alignment with with Corporate guidelines

§  Contribute to establishment of a best in class Project Management Organisation

§  Build and establish relationships in order to elicit information from key individuals internally and externally

§  Lead and document ‘lessons learned’ and end of project closure reports

§  Management of budgets, invoicing and revenue recognition as required.

Requirements

§  8+ years’ experience working in a Biologics or similar GMP environment as part of Project Management, Engineering, Technical Services or Operations Function.

§  Previous experience with Direct Client Management is desirable

§  Demonstrated experience leading complex projects with high impact is required

§  Engineering knowledge of Upstream and / or Downstream biologics systems and processes is desired.

§  Experienced in management of complex cross functional projects.

§  Knowledge / experience in the operation of GMP.

§  B.Eng or B.Sc in Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent is required.

§  PMP or  Prince2 qualification in project management is required

§  Postgraduate Qualification in an engineering or science discipline would be advantageous.

§  Very customer focused, going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and maintains high standard end maintaining clients Project Management reputation

§  Strong communicator with ability to work well within a cross-functional team to achieve a common objective.

§  Ability to manage conflict and negotiate challenging situations should they arise

§  Potential requirement to travel internationally to fulfil responsibilities of position.

§  Potential for out of hours conference calls due to client locations globally
