Senior Mechanical/HVAC Engineer
Our client, a prominent EPCM company with their offices based in South Dublin and Cork, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical/HVAC Engineers for an, initially 12 Month contract.
The successful candidate will report functionally to the Mechanical/HVAC Department Manager and on a project basis to the Lead Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager in accordance with the project structure.
Responsibilities
– Leading plant design activities independently and collaborating with multi-discipline designers.
– Executing Mech/HVAC plant design across various engineering disciplines in integrated 2D/3D systems.
– Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
– Assisting in generating project proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
– Conducting quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC deliverables.
– Demonstrating strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Skills:
– Pharma experience preferable, large scale industrial.
– Wet and dry, specifications, calculations, sizing and derailing.
– Substantial engineering/design experience in the industrial/advanced technology sector with a focus on mission-critical systems, specifically within Mech/HVAC systems.
– Experience in start-up, commissioning, equipment layout definition, and familiarity with Mech/HVAC specific design standards (UK/EU) is essential.
– Experience in Navisworks is an advantage.
Requirements
– Primary degree in Building Services, Energy, or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8), and either working towards or already having gained chartered status.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in:
– HVAC systems and utilities systems design within Pharmaceutical and/or Semiconductor industries, particularly in a lead capacity encompassing various systems such as cleanrooms,
– AHU’s, chilled water, glycol systems, steam systems, hot water systems, cooling water systems, and compressed air systems.
– Additionally, expertise in mechanical plant specification, risk assessments, safety, constructability reviews, and preparation of tender and construction packages is desired.
