Piping Designers (Intermediate / Senior / Lead)
We are seeking Piping Designer professionals to join an international engineering and consultancy firm specializing in sustainable solutions and innovative projects across various sectors.
The successful candidates will work on medium to large-scale projects in the Life Science and Food & Beverage sectors, contributing to piping design from Basis of Design through construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while also taking ownership of specific design areas. These opportunities offer hybrid work arrangement to operating in support of their Dublin or Castlebar Offices.
Key Responsibilities
Review Vendor Drawings and Process P&IDs
Create Equipment Layouts and 3D models from vendor information
Develop 3D models of piping, equipment, and supports
Produce sketch and isometric drawings from surveys
Conduct system walk-downs, site surveys, and 3D point cloud scanning
Generate 2D and isometric drawings from Revit/CAD files
Set up Revit projects and create families; convert STEP files using Inventor
Perform clash checks for piping and prepare Material Take Offs
Requirements
5–10+ years of piping design experience, preferably in pharma, food & beverage, semiconductor, or highly regulated process industries
Third-level piping/mechanical qualification or relevant trades experience
Experience in pharmaceutical/clean room piping design, specifications, and construction is highly desirable
Proven 3D design experience; Plant 3D knowledge is an advantage
Knowledge of piping codes and standards
Proficiency in Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Word, Excel
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or within a team
