Plant Technologist
Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company committed to quality, innovation, and regulatory excellence.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the API Team Lead, the Plant Technologist will play a key role in supporting API Manufacturing as part of the Operational Readiness team. The role is responsible for ensuring that all technology transfer and manufacturing-related activities are executed efficiently, meeting established operational targets. The Plant Technologist will also consistently apply and comply with all EHS and quality procedures in daily activities.
This is a 6-month contract role, with a 16/5 shift schedule and a shift premium.
Responsibilities include:
· Perform duties as directed in whatever area of manufacturing operations they are currently assigned, including batch processing, utility monitoring and waste management.
· Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Manufacturing Records.
· Execute and monitor manufacturing operations (including all control system activities) as directed by, and in strict compliance with, the relevant manual or electronic Batch Manufacturing Instruction and Record (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or other Protocol.
· Actively participate in AGILE at TILGC including problem identification, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Agile Projects.
· Ensure that housekeeping duties are completed as assigned including the physical cleaning of process and ancillary facilities
· Ensure that changeovers of both equipment and production areas are executed in an efficient and effective manner.
· Maintain the workplace and ancillary facilities in a clean and tidy condition, especially during manufacturing activities.
· Collect and deliver samples to the laboratory; complete any in-process testing assigned to them.
· Execute minor repairs/adjustments to plant and ancillary equipment where possible and as authorised.
Requirements:
· Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
· Experience in an API manufacturing facility would be an advantage.
· Proficient in the use of MES systems.
· Experience handling and working with hazardous chemicals would be essential.
· Experience with automation control systems, SCADA would be preferrable.
