Electrical Engineer
Role:
Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland. They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team.
This position involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities include:
• Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.
• Manage scope,budgetand schedule to meet project goals.
• Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines to develop designs.
• Take full responsible for the electrical design, including technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of electrical construction documents.
• Responsible for up front site selection and due diligence activities.
• Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
• Delivery guidance and mentoring to project electrical engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.
• Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
• Analyse and design complex building systems, including: Medium and low voltage power systems; Standby generator and UPS systems for critical power needs; Lighting, grounding, and process heating systems
Requirements:
• Hons Degree Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
• Proven experience in application of IEC and applicable local building/specialty codes.
• Strong command of English, written and spoken
Desirable:
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
• Extensive experience in design of semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing facilities
• Experience in Semi-conductor Tool Install and Data Centre design
• Knowledge of ATEX requirements
• Working Knowledge of Electrical Design Software such as Easy Power, ETAP or SKM Power Tools
• Working Knowledge of Revit or BIM Software
