BIM Coordinator

The BIM Coordinator, reporting to the BIM Lead, will support BIM workflows across design teams and ensure effective coordination, management, and communication of BIM technical information across project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate technology related activities on projects
• Develop project-based BIM Strategy for projects with support from BIM Lead
• Assist project teams with BIM production tasks (model setup, file management, coordination workflows, deliverables, and best practices)
• Perform routine audits regularly on authoring models
• Manage the model federation process
• Provide administration duties for the Autodesk Forma platform.
• Integrate with design & construction and review trade contractor models, shop drawings, reality capture data and adapting design models for construction purposes as necessary
• Verify compliance with internal standards and client BIM requirements as defined in the BIM Execution Plan
• Drive and manage the clash process on projects

Software Knowledge and Capabilities:
Working knowledge and proficiency with the following:
• BIM authoring platforms for facility design and construction (Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Plant3D etc.) or similar
• Collaboration and data management solutions like, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto, Navisworks
• Design and engineering automation tools like Dynamo
• Awareness/ knowledge/ experience in BIM usage in the building life cycle
• Experience providing BIM leadership and technical support to a project team
• Experience in BIM model management, workflows in project delivery
• Experience writing BIM Execution Plans to support large projects

Requirements:

• 3+ years BIM experience leveraging and managing technology in facility design and construction required
• Industry BIM Certification is an advantage
• Experience of Autodesk Forma administration duties an advantage
• Ability to motivate established professionals, external partners, and direct reports
• Leadership mindset with a collaborative, proactive approach
• Experience with, and passionate about BIM, IPD, Lean, Collaboration
