Senior Piping Designer (On-site)

Excellent opportunity to join a World Class Engineering Consultancy as Senior Piping Designer on a Pharma site based in Cork. This role is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities 

Creating detailed 3D models and supporting complex process and mechanical piping systems based on provided information such as P&IDs, piping specifications, and equipment arrangement drawings.
Developing equipment layouts for both greenfield and existing facilities.
Conducting field design work and site surveys to assess current conditions and tie-ins.
Generating material take-offs for cost estimates and procurement during concept and design phases.
Participating in conceptual designs, feasibility studies, and equipment stack-ups.
Ensuring meticulous attention to detail and maintaining a high standard of quality in reviewing and checking the work of other designers.
Producing construction piping deliverables such as isometrics.
Collaborating with vendors and contractors, including reviewing and commenting on vendor drawings.
Actively coordinating with other disciplines and attending model reviews as necessary.
Reporting administratively to the department manager.
Requirements:

Essential to be onsite 5 days a week.

A degree in engineering or equivalent trade experience.
Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills for seamless collaboration on multi-office projects.
Previous experience in process and mechanical piping systems within the Life Sciences sector.
Proficiency in Navisworks and Plant 3D/SP3D or similar 3D software is essential.
Must possess a current work permit for Ireland.
