CSA Construction Lead
Exciting Opportunity for a CSA Construction Lead to work on a Pharma project with our client, a prominent global EPCM company. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for timely construction of the CSA scope in compliance with the company’s safety and quality standards, the control estimates contract, SOP’S, etc.
Summary of Responsibilities
Pre-Construction duties/ responsibilities will involve:
• Detailed review and liaison with design and client workgroup leads, model reviews.
• Prepare and lead constructability reviews across every facet of the build.
• Prepare detailed SOWs for trade contract procurement.
• Assist in preparation of detailed BOQs.
• Review returned CSA bids and prepare TBA.
• Trade and industry knowledge reviews, keeping abreast of developments in the construction industry .
• Development of detailed execution strategies.
• Input into CHSP, QA/TO and all other General Construction Requirement documentation.
• Assist in schedule development, schedule reviews and lead IAPs .
The CSA Construction Lead will also provide input for the development of the CSA construction department liaising with the CSA Design department leads, improving execution procedures and managing and developing CSA construction resources across the project.
Main Duties/Responsibilities , In addition to above
The duties of the CSA Construction Lead are set out below.
• Ensures that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, in conjunction with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
• Develops site execution SOP’s as guidance to the Field Supervisors
• Complies with the company construction methods, procedures and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to safety, quality assurance, personnel and industrial relations; where these are found to be inadequate immediately reports the deficiencies and suggests solutions.
• Management of Sub Contract including Safety , Schedule, Cost and Quality will be your main deliverable .
• Ensures that the applicable statutory and other legal requirements are properly observed.
• Ensures that the projects are constructed in accordance to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
• Directs and controls the activities of the assigned staff and their functions
• Carries out assessments and appraisals of the staff and reports the results in accordance with the company’s practice.
• Determines the need for supervisor training for proper execution of the project under construction and makes appropriate recommendation.
• Ensuring lessons learned on projects are recorded and shared.
• Ensure that the company are utilising the best technology available and ensuring innovative ideas are encouraged.
• Supervises and manages all Site CSA Staff including construction superintendents, trade supervisors and sub-contractors.
Qualifications
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering .
• Significant years’ experience in a similar role
• Biotech / Pharma knowledge
• Excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge
• Excellent communication and people management skills
