Michael is the Managing Director and founder of Asset Recruitment. He has a proven track record spanning over 20 years in the engineering and recruitment industry servicing major multinational organisations and SMEs within Ireland and internationally.

Michael has resourced project management, construction management and CQV teams for major greenfield and brownfield biotech projects along with servicing long term clients with engineering and PM resources for CAPEX and sustaining projects. He also recruits for key leadership roles for his clients, the placement of such essential positions have contributed significantly towards the growth and trajectory of the international companies who have invested so heavily in Irelands rich resources.

Michael brings a refreshingly honest approach to the business, he understands implicitly, the requirements that are vital in sourcing and placing the skilled and specialised talent that Asset Recruitment is renowned for, he will go to any lengths to ensure that both applicant and client are completely equipped with the expertise necessary to ensure success. As a result, he has gained the trust and respect of his peers and colleagues in the industry.

He enjoys a game of golf despite his very high handicap, is an avid spectator of rugby and hurling and holds the position of junior Vice President at Bective Rangers Rugby Club.

Maria is a Director of Asset Recruitment and joined the company in 2015. Prior to joining, Maria enjoyed 10+ years at a senior management level in the financial services sector.

Maria’s expertise is in senior recruitment and executive search and she is responsible for the sourcing and placement of specialized personnel for key positions with Asset’s major clients. In her role, she is also significantly involved in the strategic and operational planning and execution within the business. Additionally, Maria manages the transition of contractors from one project to another, thus ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience while working with Asset Recruitment.

As part of her remit, Maria also works closely with Asset’s CFO Paul Regan on managed services, where she insists that both clients and personnel alike receive a consistently, valuable and personal service.

What inspires Maria each day is the motto: “Yesterday is gone, tomorrow hasn’t come, today is here so use it,” which motivates her to keep all the plates spinning, while at the same time maintaining the excellent brand and recognition the company has earned in the industry.

Maria holds a degree in Marketing and is also a Qualified Professional Advisor. In her spare time, she enjoys a round of golf, walking, socialising with family and friends and dining out occasionally, especially if chicken wings are on the menu.

Philip Cahill, Senior Recruitment Consultant, Asset Recruitment supporting Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Semiconductor Engineering Clients and Contract Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations and Science Professionals throughout Ireland and Europe.

He is a qualified engineer and seasoned recruitment specialist with over 30 years combined Recruitment and HR expertise gained from working in both Commercial Recruitment, In-House Recruiter and Talent Acquisition/Management roles. He holds Degrees in Human Resource Management and Civil (Structural) Engineering

Philip is highly networked amongst the professional contract engineering and consultancy fraternity and works closely with key hiring managers and senior management of many of the largest global Engineering Procurement, Construction and Management consultancies. He has expert knowledge and commercial awareness of Life Science and AMT companies and has provided staff hire services for many multinational companies.

Working as a key member of senior management teams on some of the largest Capital Build, and Remediation Projects in Ireland, Europe, the US and Africa, Philip has resourced, interviewed, hired and managed key project teams for high volume recruitment drives.

Brian is Head of Operations and Compliance at Asset Recruitment.

Having enjoyed a 30-year career in the insurance industry specialising in providing insurance solutions for clients in the international chemical and construction sectors, Brian is now looking forward to bringing his experience to bear in overseeing the business operations of Asset Recruitment.

Brian’s area of responsibilities include collaborating with other senior management to formulate strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing client and contractor service operations, and implementing efficient processes and standards.

Brian is passionate about providing great customer support and is a firm believer in Asset’s philosophy of putting ourselves in our clients and contractors’ shoes to better understand their requirements and to find the best possible solutions for them.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys sport particularly watching and supporting his rugby club Bective Rangers FC. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, the odd game of golf, fishing and walking the dog.

Rafaela Gottardo, Recruitment Consultant, joined Asset Recruitment in 2022. Her desk is focussed mainly on sourcing and placing workers into contracting and fixed term engineering roles in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. She has completed the Employment & Recruitment Federation certification, and holds the ERF Certificate in Recruitment Practice.

Prior to joining Asset Recruitment, Rafaela worked in the pharmaceutical industry both in sales and quality assurance roles. She has degrees in Business Administration and Accounting.  Having relocated from her home country Brazil to Ireland in 2018 to study and improve her English she decided to stay in Ireland and develop her career.

In her spare time, Rafaela enjoys watching a good movie at home and on sunny days she loves visits to the parks and the Dublin coastline.
